SÍNDROME POR REACCIÓN A DROGAS CON EOSINOFILIA Y SÍNTOMAS SISTÉMICOS (DRESS)
Abstract
El síndrome DRESS (por sus siglas en inglés de drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms) es una reacción grave de hipersensibilidad a diferentes fármacos, entre los que podemos mencionar los anticonvulsivos, sulfonamidas y algunos fármacos antivirales. Diagnosticar el DRESS es un reto debido a la diversidad de erupciones cutáneas y órganos involucrados y a su mortalidad.

DRUG REACTION WITH EOSINOPHILIA AND SYSTEMIC SYMPTOMS (DRESS) SYNDROME
ABSTRACT
The DRESS (Drug Rash with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms) syndrome is a severe reaction of hypersensitivity to different drugs, usually caused by anticonvulsants, sulfonamides and some antiviral drugs, among others. Diagnosing DRESS is a challenge due to the diversity of skin rashes and organs involved and to their mortality.
