NEFROMEGALIA Y FALLA RENAL AGUDA COMO FORMA DE PRESENTACIÓN INFRECUENTE DE LEUCEMIA LINFOBLÁSTICA AGUDA EN ADULTOS

Resumen

En el presente informe se describe el caso de un paciente masculino de 26 años de edad, previamente sano, que consulta por dolor abdominal y cefalea. Se constata paquimeningitis, nefromegalia simétrica bilateral y falla renal aguda. Se le diagnosticó leucemia linfoblástica aguda y posteriormente respondió al tratamiento quimioterápico realizado.

NEPHROMEGALIA AND ACUTE RENAL FAILURE AS AN UNUSUAL FORM OF ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA IN ADULTS
Abstract
Nephromegaly and acute renal failure due to leukemic infltration are very unusual presentations of this pathology. We report the case of a 26-year-old patient with bilateral symmetric nephromegaly and acute renal failure who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and who eventually responded to the corresponding chemotherapy treatment.
