ICTUS ISQUÉMICO EN EL TERRITORIO DE LA ARTERIA CEREBRAL MEDIA IZQUIERDA DE CAUSA INHABITUAL
Resumen
Presentamos el caso de un paciente con ictus de causa inhabitual (secundario a un embolismo arterial tras una trombosis de aneurisma gigante en porción cervical de la carótida interna izquierda), enterritorio de la arteria cerebral media izquierda. Asimismo, se complementa con una breve revisión dela literatura sobre los aneurismas carotídeos extracraneales.

ISCHEMIC STROKE OF UNUSUAL CAUSE IN THE LEFT MIDDLE CEREBRAL ARTERY TERRITORY
Abstract
We present the case of a patient with an ischemic stroke of unusual cause (secondary to an arterial embolism after a giant intracranial aneurysm thrombosis in the cervical portion of the left internal carotid), in the left middle cerebral artery. We also include a brief review of the literature on extracranial carotid aneurysms as supplementing material.
